Separate assessment from ongoing sessions
Ask what the first assessment includes, how long it is expected to take and when findings will be discussed. Confirm whether a written report is included or billed separately. An assessment fee does not necessarily include later appointments.
Ask what is included in a session
Confirm the length of direct time, whether caregiver discussion is included and how preparation, record keeping or consultation may be charged. Ask who delivers the service and whether different team roles have different rates.
Check additional and cancellation charges
Ask about school meetings, written letters, travel, missed appointments, cancellation notice and late arrival. Get the clinic’s current terms before agreeing to them. Do not rely on another clinic’s policy as a guide to what Clover Creek charges.
Confirm funding with the funder
Contact your insurer or programme directly about eligible services, provider requirements, limits, prior approval and receipt details. A clinician’s professional title alone does not guarantee that your particular plan will reimburse the cost. Ask the clinic separately about its billing arrangements.
Plan a review point
Ask when recommendations about frequency will be reviewed and how that conversation will happen. The costs of a long-term schedule should not be assumed before the team has assessed the situation and agreed a plan with you.
